While the boys are off watching a Native American comedian, the adults go to gamble away their money. Kyle's dad, we discover, has a terrible gambling problem, and proceeds to lose $26,000 -- most of which came from a line of credit he put up his house to obtain. Meanwhile, the casino's Native American owners are buying up all of South Park so they can level it and use the land to build a superhighway to bring in more gamblers from Denver. In order to stop this travesty, the town needs to raise $300,000 to buy back the town and thwart the plan. The boys come up with a desperate scheme: Take the paltry $10,000 the townspeople managed to raise, place it on a single roulette number and hope for a win, which would produce a $350,000 payout. The adults take the advice, bet everything on 31 black, and win. But seeing the potential for even more profit, Kyle's dad convinces the others to "let it ride." The townsfolk leave all their cash on 31 black, and lose everything on the next spin. The next day, South Park's citizens line up to get checks for their homes. The boys, infuriated, decide to stand in front of the Indians' bulldozers. Soon the rest of the town joins their protest, effectively blocking the entrance to South Park. The Native Americans counter by giving the locals SARS-infected blankets, making everyone sick except Stan. He's sent to find a wise man so he can go on a "spirit journey" by inhaling paint thinner. During this journey, Stan learns that SARS can be stopped by the middle class elixer: Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup, DayQuil, and Sprite. Meanwhile, Chief Runswithpremise (the owner of Three Feathers Casino) learns that his own son, Premiserunningthin, has SARS. When he sees that the South Park residents are getting better, he asks if they'll provide the cure for his son. They do, and his son regains his health. Their kindness makes him have a change of heart, and the Chief spares the town. ===What I Learned Today=== "Well, I guess we all learned that South Park is more than just a town.
