A wealthy publisher and a friend of Joseph Smith, the prophet asks for Harris' help in writing and publishing the Book of Mormon from the gold plates. He promises not to look when Smith uses the plates, but is persuaded by Lucy Harris, his wife, to 'lose' some pages and see if Smith can replicate the content. Smith is forced by God to translate from another, slightly different book instead, but Harris buys it. This book eventually becomes the foundation of Mormonism, the religion of South Park's very own Gary Harrison and his family..
