• The title may be a reference to the upcoming DC comics film "Joker", which had premiered a few weeks before the episode's release.

• The press image depicts Kyle Broflovski in a detention camp surrounded by children of Latin-American heritage. The Trump administration was criticized earlier in the year for a controversial family separation policy as well as the general use of detention camps at the border to house undocumented immigrants.
