After Erica Cartman is given a special 'Other' bathroom by Principal Victoria, kicking off a controversy about trans* people, Wendy Testaburger began identifying as male. He began referring to himself as Wendyl Testaburger and dressing according to his new gender identity. He did successfully gain access to the school's 'other' bathroom though, infuriating Erica and earning the ire of Principal Victoria.
His current status is unknown, but during the crowd shot at the end of the episode, Wendyl can be seen and is not cheering with the other kids. It remains to be seen if the identity will stick.

- Changing the genders and/or sexes of South Park characters is nothing new - fans have done it for years! The idea of a male Wendy was previously known as Wesley , Wendell , or sometimes, McDonald (a reference to the legend Wendy is named after the restaurant chain!)
